Sports at Smarden 2025-2026

Swimming:

We currently provide swimming to Years 1-6 for six weeks each a year. All our pupils head to Ewe Swim for lessons as part of our statutory duty to enable all children to leave school able to swim at least 25m. These lessons take place all year round.

On 21st May 2026, both our girls and boys Year 5/6 football teams will be playing in the finals day at Leyton Orient football club. It promises to be an exciting day.  Results and photos coming soon.

On 8th July 2026, a mixed team from Year 5/6 at Smarden will compete in the rugby finals at the Kemnal Technology College.

Ashford Prep Cross Country Run:

‘Autumn springs into action!

All the pupils put in tremendous effort and were cheered on by their excited parents.

Autumn earned the medal of ‘Best Effort’ for producing an outstanding performance after finishing 4th in the girls Y3/4 race

I’m sure we can produce more runners for next years competition and it could hopefully take home a Bronze, Silver or Gold medal
