Mrs Charlotte Venter

After completing my PGCE, I began my teaching journey in inner-city London where I worked for 15 years in Lambeth, Merton and Tower Hamlets and I was lucky enough to experience diverse and dynamic educational environments. After moving into leadership, I then moved out of London and spent seven years working in Medway. I love long walks with my family and my golden retriever, so I am glad to now be living close by to the beautiful Kent Weald and the rich history the area has to offer. I am now delighted to be able to be part of the Smarden team; I love everything outdoors so I enjoy being in a school which shares my passion for nature and nurturing. We know that children learn best when they are happy, secure and confident and I am lucky to be working within a team who are equally committed to fostering an environment where students can thrive. At Smarden, every day is a day where every child can achieve their very best potential; all staff literally live and breathe this ethos; every single day!
